Schenker Arkas opened a branch office in Gaziantep to serve Kahramanmaraş and surrounding provinces.
Schenker Arkas continues to expand its network of offices in order to offer Anatolian cities the best international transportation and logistics services. After Istanbul, Izmir, Ankara, Bursa and Mersin, Gaziantep has become Schenker Arkas’ newest branch office on the historic Silk Road. The Gaziantep office will offer scheduled partial overland transportation to importers and exporters not only in this province but in Kahramanmaraş and the surrounding provinces in addition to all types of logistics solutions including air freight.
The door to the Middle East
Gaziantep has been one of the important trade centers on the Silk Road for thousands of years and today is an important industrial city in the region. There are approximately 6,000 companies in Gaziantep and the surrounding provinces that manufacture export goods. The region serves as the door to the Middle East and has proven adroit when it comes to using modern transportation systems to take advantage of its import and export connections. However, overland and air freight needs may require service outside of the region and customs processing might be needed at remote locations.
